Regarding Federal Push For Same Sex Marriage
The Maronite Catholic Society of Australia is extremely concerned about this undesirable attempt to change the fundamental
definition of the most revered pillar in our society namely the institution of marriage.
Marriage is based on the very essence of a loving relationship between a man and a woman and their natural physical, spiritual
and emotional union which provides their capacity to generate children who will grow within the love and affection of their
biological parents. This loving growth becomes a strong foundation for the development of a strong family unit and consequently
a strong nation.
Any attempt to neutralize the strength of a loving relationship between a man and a woman in Holy Matrimony will be the beginning
of the process of destabilization and destruction of a strong and stable Australia. For when the pillar of the institution of marriage is
diminished by definition and/or practice, then, all other pillars of integrity will follow suit.
The Maronite Catholic Society of Australia wishes to strongly endorse the call of
