.A teenager has been chased all the way to her home by a man who tried to assault her in Sydney's north.
The 13-year-old left her friend's house in Frenchs Forest about 5.30pm yesterday, when a man appeared from behind a parked silver two-door car.
He spoke briefly to the girl, before grabbing her arm and shoulder, but she managed to break free and escape.
Advertisement: Story continues below The man, aged 25 to 30, then chased the girl home, where she reported the incident to her mother, who contacted police.
Officers have canvassed the surrounding neighbourhoods searching for a dark skinned man with short curly brown hair and brown eyes.
He is described as being of Maori/Pacific Islander appearance and wearing a long-sleeve shirt and denim jeans.
Police are urging anybody with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
