The keys of the Heavens.. Waheeb Nadeem Wahbah: The dramatization of the Arabic poem, Cairo: In Arabic and English
Before:
The moment of creation - It is the moment of absolute unity with heaven - when the Great and Almighty commands, the earth at once obeys.
So, how will the creation be when the Will of heaven and the Might of the destiny wanted the Saviour of mankind to be born out from the womb of purity to this East, ... In order to pure mankind from sins and to be the Gospel to the people of the earth (I preach to you with great joy).
To proceed:
Between 2012 - when the keys of the Heavens received the Metropolitan Nicolas Naaman Award for Human Virtues from the Naji Naaman Foundation for Culture – Lebanon.

Divine Elevations

Divine Elevations
*The ghost of my tear mumbles
on a barren woman's breast....
rolls me in the moans of a cloud that sheds you in a pond,
wide open for remembrance
***
* Out of my death crypts ..
my pain flows ether of hopes...
and your snowy fires
get my shirts perfumed with your features...
those overfilled with rain
***
*Velvet ...is the pupil of your bitterness
Slender are the hurricanes of its dominion
How it drew me close to a fragment
of your subsistence
in the sessions of hungry ascetics !!
And how it drew me far away
through your divine elevations !!
***
* So why thrusting my fingertips...
those raining candles..
in the caves of dust and harshness?
***
* By the charm of your voice..
that which illuminates me!..
the bow of my loyalty strummed me
not but on hugging strings
How the breaths of its violin warbled as well !
***
O you , the daughter of the runnels!
Scoop me up an aromatic tale
looking for its face in your mirror !
Shear not the pearl of my pulsing...
For the rhythm of my rainclouds
had not gargled but in your heart ...
and the evenings of my luster
could not have been perfect
without your bright rainfall

Ye! Roll My Breast In Its Blue Fragrance. By: Amal Awad Radwan

Ye! Roll My Breast In Its Blue Fragrance
On the clouds of hungry glad tidings
you s..u..r..g..e..d
On a long gloomy night ...you traced the flow of my wet shadoww
With the noise of my fetters
You let down hankies of blame embroidered with tiredness...
luring my impossible gaiety
And at the completion of my rebellious compliance...
you glowed
With the glimmer of your trifling fragrance
you went on disguising ...
committing the devoutness of a jovial rumor
while Iam in the drunkness of my depths...
intoxicated by impossible ripple
whose wailing's not withered by your madness
---------
Your fingertips are still dewing with gloomy burning
p..e..e..l..i..n..g
the clouds of my time, the stigmatized with slumber..
and till now taking off rags of yawning..
How it saw good omens in eternity !!and still..
in the haze of punched silence...
riding the hymns of my sleeping existence
----------
The squadrons of your coquettish weakness
s..n..e..a..k..e..d
dancing with fires of dreams
whose taste never slipped my tongue
---------
Aged in eternity are the spectra of my wounds
Is it heedlessly that a legendary- featured sleepliness drawled them ?
Were they spoiled by the numbness of your poppy- like inscription?
Or did you hang my blind intuition on the halt of your paradisal billowss?
---------
The groans of my stars were swept away by the torrents of your wallowing...
when seduced by your worn grasp ..
and ...
on your backed power
they submissively got s..m..a..s..h..e..d
and inlaid me with my breakage
----------
With the two wings of your madness
you emerged... adrift
fluttering ... widely agitated flapping ..
deeming permissible shelves of split...
How you chained it with my decorated loss!!
so as to seize the temptations of me dying !
-----------
Filaments of amazement snatched the band –
witched scraps of my longing...
They nailed me
between deferred promises and walls collapsing
-----------
The blind steps of your wind betrayed your wings.
Their flames broke out in tracing me...
As if Neron you were !! ..
As if Baghdad you were !!
and in the fora of suspension ...
you were professional in bandaging the burns of my letters
------------
The tongues of my fiery revelation ...
you plated with a whisper that gushed out appealing:
A nymph phantom Iam
To the tracks of illusion he (the invader) seduced me...
by the Sabani gown.. he captivated me...
he dispersed my face in the memory of veils..
and swallowed my golden tail
-----------
O ye , supreme comrades!
The gate of my heaven is encircled by temples of glory
whose light mottled winged trimming ...
and still billowing with lashes of amazement
-----------
Be enlighted by me!
My sacred Branches! ..
How adorned by the feathers of the sun they were !!
and ecstatically craned their necks up towards the nest of firee!!
------------
Yawp! Yawp!
Ye! support me by Solomon
and his squadrons of Genie.. to dig the bed of my sea aflaj (gorges)
and present them to me on the night of my feast
Ye! roll my breast with its blue fragrance..
so that the necklaces of my heaven can shake rain spreding with love
-----------
O ye ,supreme comrades!
roll my breast with its blue fragrance
and turn in procession back to me.. my bright tail

The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE: LEBANON NOW
The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE (19:54:50): Right now in Lebanon a revolution is unfolding. Hundreds of thousands of Lebanese have hit the streets in protest. People of all ages, faiths and political persuasions from right across the country are rallying against endless abuses of power by those at the helm. Ever since independence in 1941, the Lebanese people have been crushed and cursed by a sectarian political system of French colonialist design that is rotten and corrupt to the core—a system designed to maintain divisions between the country's religious groups, keeping the country in perpetual crisis. The former French and British colonialist powers replicated this approach throughout the Arab world, endlessly pitting citizens against one another along sectarian lines. The Lebanese people have finally hit a dead end. They have had enough.
The only way out of their dilemma is to revolt. They simply cannot salvage any aspect of the current system. It needs to be completely uprooted, then cremated and buried in a seven-metre deep hole in the ground. Sectarianism had choked the Lebanese people to death while further empowering sectarian political warlords, their political parties, their MPs and their petty cronies and thugs. Enraged by rampant corruption, the people have erupted in unison against a system that has impoverished them and robbed them even of their dignity—a system that has corrupted government, allowed for aggressive privatisation of all State assets, destroyed the economy and ruined the environment.
Those in charge have milked the country dry and are now sharpening their teeth for a slice of Lebanon's gas and oil revenue. For over 80 years, the political elite, the bourgeoisie and the religious order gutted the Lebanese political system. With high unemployment and a rapidly rising cost of living, together with ballooning deficit and public debt, and the stench of garbage and corruption, the Lebanese people could no longer tolerate the indignity of a life in poverty. With their dignity crushed, there was little else to lose; so they shrugged off long ingrained sectarian and religious prejudices, transcended all forms of social and political affiliations, and rallied in unity first and foremost as citizens of Lebanon.
I am heartened and proud to see the protesters come together irrespective of political affiliation, sect or religion, in Australia, all over the world and from right across Lebanon, all in one voice condemning corruption and demanding equality under the law. I am particularly proud of the people of Tripoli, El Minie and Bhaneen here and in Lebanon. Tripoli is a city known for its openness and for people with a strong sense of unity and solidarity with Arab peoples across the world, but first and foremost with the Palestinian people. I was similarly proud to see villagers in southern Lebanon revolt—as they did in my own birthplace, the village of Kounine in southern Lebanon, where the villagers continue to this day to struggle against oppressive early twentieth‑century feudal lords backed by thugs in authority. In Bint Jbeil, in Saidon, in Tyre, in the mountains of Choufe and in Sahla, Akkar, Baalbeck, Bcharre, Hermel, Albatroun and everywhere else across the country, I honour them.
In an attempt to appease the protesters, Prime Minister Hariri and his partners in authority proposed a package of economic reforms, but it was quickly dismissed for falling short of the protesters' demands. In so doing, protesters have reaffirmed their demand for an interim government that would establish the ground rules for a secular political system, free from an elite long riddled with corruption, cronyism and patronage. It is a big ask to stand in the face of entrenched political parties led by powerful warlords well-versed in tactics of thuggery, while remaining alert to harmful foreign interference and internal agendas, but to date they have met the challenge.
I salute them for having the courage to stand up and unite against sectarianism, corruption and poverty, and the oppressive authority of thugs who for decades have trashed and trampled over people. As an Australian of Lebanese ancestry and as the co-chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Lebanon, I stand proud of the Lebanese people and their peaceful protest. I concur with their rightful demands for a secular system free of corruption and sectarianism. But I call on them to stay peaceful, stay the course, and remain alert and focused.
The Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane introduced into the House on Lebanese Bush fires
Mr Moselmane to move—
1. That this House notes that:
(a) in the past week Lebanon has witnessed one of its most aggressive bushfire seasons with more than 100 fires erupting right across Lebanon, described by the Director General of Lebanon’s Civil Defence as the worst fires to have hit the country in decades,
(b) aided by strong winds and unseasonably high temperatures, the fires swept through dense forests and into residential areas destroying homes and property and causing injuries and loss of life as well as destroying hundreds of hectares of lush green forests, and
(c) the latest rain has brought a little respite, however, the forecast of worsening weather conditions with strong winds of up to 45km an hour and temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius is of great concern.
2. That the President, on behalf of the House, write to the Lebanese Consul General, Sydney, expressing the House’s sympathies with the people of Lebanon on their terrible loss of life and damage to property and the pristine bushlands of Lebanon.

The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE short contribution on Tim Fischer condolence last night
I wish to make a short contribution on this condolence motion, recognising one of our great political leaders. Tim Fischer, AC, was a genuine man, respected by many around Australia and overseas. Tim was a devout Catholic. He held strong socially conservative views. He did not hide them and did not hesitate to express them but he was always respectful. He was also a uniting figure who spoke against divisive politics such as Hansonism and racism. According toThe Guardian, he was the only Minister in the Howard Government to sign up to the parliamentary code of race ethics championed by Labor and the Australian Democrats. Unlike Prime Minister Howard, he took on Pauline Hanson, labelling her race‑based commentary as "divisive, dumb and wrong".
He was always a resolute individual. A man of conviction. He stood by those convictions even if they were to his political detriment. He opposed Mabo and stood with gun control. He was always steadfast in his positions as he was in his support for justice for the Palestinian people and their right to their homeland. For that, he was much loved and respected by the Australian Arab community. He was as much interested in multicultural Australia as he was in forging closer relationships between Australia and Asia, building strong friendships particularly with people in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and others. Tim Fischer was an admirable political leader and for that he will always have our respect. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE Speech about President Trump
I would not describe President Trump as a revolting slug unfit for public office, nor would I describe him as a good President for Australia. Like many in the United States, we were intrigued by Donald Trump's presidential candidacy and with what a Trump presidency would mean for the US and the world. His campaign style and election agenda were a curiosity, and very unorthodox, to say the least. His presidency has been unique, and it continues to shock and awe. The support of Fox media helped Trump to sell his agenda. He may be re-elected, though I see hope for Senator Bernie Sanders.
Given the intensity of division between Democrats and Republicans, and continued impeachment attempts, it is clear that President Trump is unlikely to achieve major domestic success before the election. His main drive—some might say main strength—has been his foreign policy. Let us look at his foreign policy decisions. Donald Trump—Mr Tweet—has continued his stunning changes in direction, confusing his administration and often catching the White House by surprise. No-one knows when or what the next tweet will carry. John Bolton, his third national security adviser, learned of his sacking by a pair of tweets.
Trump has been perplexing in his foreign policy agenda. His position on Syria and Iraq has been baffling. He has escalated tension with Iran, declaring that the United States is "locked and loaded". He continues to beat the drums of war in Venezuela and that region. In Afghanistan he opens negotiations with the Taliban and then retreats. In North Korea, he calls Kim Jong-un a friend, and then calls him "rocket man". On Palestine, Trump helps kill the Oslo peace accord and then buries it by allowing the Israelis a free hand to take over Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, and the annexation of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Then he allows the strangulation of Gaza and now talks of the so-called deal of the century, part of which involves taking land from Jordan, hence formally scrapping the two-state solution. Trump's support for the five-year Saudi war on Yemen has devastated the country, with hundreds of thousands killed, injured and displaced, and many more hungry and starving.
Trump announces trade war with China and then predictably flags the resumption of talks. Prime Minister Scott Morrison lends support to Donald Trump, but then says it must be resolved quickly to prevent collateral damage to Australia. It goes without saying that we will pay the price if we make ourselves the meat in the sandwich. Let us always keep in focus that, while the United States is our ally, China is not and should not be made our enemy

The leaders of the Middle Eastern Christian Churches met with the Premier of NSW
By Ashraf Helmy -
the leaders and the representatives of the Middle Eastern Christian Churches met with the Premier of NSW, the Honorable Gladys Berejiklian.
at the meeting there was a full and frank exchange in which the Churches reiterated their opposition to REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL 2019, which allows abortion to the point of birth. they expressed their disappointment in the hurry with which it was introduced and its passing through the Lower House. The Bishops are concerned about the extremity of its provisions, which do not to allow physicians with a conscientions objection to decline to assist those seeking abortions, and threatens them with sanctions.
and on behalf of the Eastern Churches, Bishop Robert Rabbat addressed a letter to the Premier in which he presented, in addition to the dangers of the abortion bill and its incompatibility with a culture of life, the issues of religious freedoms and the freedom of belief ,confirming that religious freedom positive right, and not merely a matter for exception from other rules.
The meeting also discussed the sacredness of the Sacrament of Confession, and in particular, the Sear of Confession. The Churches are committesd to making their institutions completely safe for children and the vulnerable, but priest will not accept to break the Seal of Confession. Any civil law which would require a breach of Seal is in attack on religious freedoms and the essence of the Christian religious. It is therfore futile and unworkable, since it is based on a misunderstanding of the Sacrament which encourages souls to repent and returne to God.
The meeting concluded with the participants agreeing to continue the dialogue and meetings, to work for the good of society and man.
The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE speech on the ABORTION Bill
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL 2019
Second Reading Debate
Debate resumed from 20 August 2019.
The Hon. SHAOQUETT MOSELMANE (11:52): The intention of the Reproductive Health Care Reform Bill 2019 is to decriminalise abortion and bring the State into line with the rest of the country. Let me say at the outset that I respect all parties and all individuals involved in the debate in Parliament and outside. I believe all the participants in the debate are sincere and have good intent, irrespective of where they stand on this issue. Many have made powerful arguments, and I have had to change my speech as I listened to them. I had to delete some sections of it, particularly after I heard the contribution of the Hon. Trevor Khan. But as the Hon. Trevor Khan noted, members' views are based on what their consciences tell them, and I will make my remarks based on my conscience.
As a member I have made a conscientious decision but I am not judging others. That is our job and our responsibility in this House. I can do nothing more than make a decision today that is based on my conscience. In this debate much has been said about the right of women to control their bodies. No-one doubts the right of women to have control over their bodies and their reproductive health. I believe that women should have access to the best available health care, irrespective of what the health issue is. As legislators we must take all steps to provide the best possible medical care to mothers—especially the poor, the needy and the underprivileged. When it comes to abortion, no woman makes her decision lightly. This is why there should always be more than sufficient support in place to ensure that the best health care is provided when a termination of pregnancy is requested or required.
The bill as proposed has a number of significant shortcomings. I do not intend to go through them other than to note three key issues. Firstly, the bill as it currently stands does not prevent sex-selection abortions. No civilised society would or should allow gender selection. That is simply abhorrent, and it must be rejected. Secondly, there is nothing in the bill to protect doctors who, for whatever reason, object to abortion. The bill as it stands would force doctors with a conscientious objection to refer women to other doctors who will perform the procedure. We should not be forcing doctors to terminate life against the Hippocratic oath to do no harm. Doctors' religious or ethical freedoms should at all times be upheld, respected and enforced.
Thirdly, I have concerns about late terminations. I find this unacceptable. By 22 weeks the fetus is really a baby and it can be born and live a full life. I do not accept that abortion on demand for any reason, or for no reason at all, should be allowed. What I also find unconscionable is that babies born alive as a result of a failed abortion would be denied life-sustaining attention and left to die on a side table. In all conscience I cannot vote in support of this. I heard the Hon. Trevor Khan on this but I need to be reassured that protections will be added to the bill to ensure that it will not be allowed to happen. If the intention of this bill is to allow qualified doctors to legally perform an abortion to preserve a woman's life or her mental or physical health, or to perform abortions in cases of possible fetal abnormality, I can understand it, but I do not support the concept of late-term abortion on demand.
Abortion is horrific. One should never accept the scenario where all you need to do is to tap your credit card to abort a child—tap and go. In all conscience, I cannot agree with this concept of privatisation of life and death. Life is not a commodity or a consumer product one can dispose of at will. No-one in our society, secular or religious, lives in isolation. We are all part of communities that bind us together as a society of human beings. We live in a rules-based society. In this place we are elected to make rules to guide our society. We have rules at home, rules in the community and rules in this House. For reproductive health care to work there have to be some rules around it. I support decriminalisation but there have to be rules that are acceptable to society. I fight for the underprivileged, the underdog, the poor, the needy and the down-trodden. I am always fighting for workers and for the working class. Every day I stand up for them in their struggle to gain better lives. How could I not stand up for the voiceless? How could I not fight for someone's right to life? In all conscience, I cannot support this bill. I will therefore vote against it.
