Fashion Show and Gala Day celebrating Salwa Al-Katrib and the Lahoud family

Inspired by the much loved musical adaptations of ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘Bint al-jabal’ by Romeo Lahoud, Mirath in Mind is proud to announce a fashion show and gala day celebrating the achievements of the great artists – Salwa Al-Katrib and the Lahoud family taking place on Friday 3rd and Friday 17th October 2014.

Far from the ugly and distressing images we have been seeing in the media, students from government and private schools will compete for the ‘Best dressed’ Eliza Doolittle and Professor Henry Higgins in a unique fashion show. The purpose of this event (taking place on Friday 3rd October) is to celebrate the influence of the Edwardian era costume from ‘My Fair Lady’ on ‘Bint al-jabal’ by renowned Lebanese fashion designer, Ms Papou Lahoud. The program will also include short performances from both musicals.
Following the fashion show will be a Gala Day taking place on Friday 17 October, celebrating the work of the abovementioned artists through the creative imaginations of local school students. This will include song and dance, drawing, painting and multimedia.

We look forward to celebrating these events with you!
