QUEENSLAND FLOOD/ Tony Hanna

The final day of my book
I was so sad Queensland dear
The river turned against a town
Right there I loved my beer

I prayed, so did all of Australia
I cry and I held my tears
We don’t need no more cries
We’ve lost enough as it is

My heart goes for the one we’ve lost
And the missing one as well
My sympathies to families of all
What happens we can’t tell

So don’t worry brothers and sisters
We do understand
Let’s stand forever together
And show the world we love each other
And give each other a hand
